DECORATIVE DRIVEWAYS

Our Decorative driveways are a fixed decorative stone surface that will not move or wash away. 

Nationwide Road Markings Decorative driveways are produced using Resin Bonded Stone surfacing and can be applied to existing concrete or tarmac base. The driveway surface is low maintenance, anti-slip and durable. This will greatly enhance the appearance of your driveway or footpath areas and there is a very extensive range of stone colours and shapes available and range from 1mm to 6mm. Resin bonded surfacing is now used to create the look of natural gravel or other stone finishes without the inconvenience of loose stone or chippings. Resin bonded stone surfacing will provide excellent slip resistance for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic. This resin bonded surfacing can also be used on patio areas and walkways through gardens. 

The Process
Firstly the existing surface is thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Then a resin (glue) is spread over the existing driveway surface and the chosen aggregate is scattered on top. When cured the loose stone is swept away leaving a textured driveway finish which is anti-slip and very low maintenance.

Resin bonded stone driveways, walkways, or patio areas should be swept occasionally to remove loose stones. The driveway surface can also be cleaned using a power washer to remove dirt and debris once a year. 

Newly surfaced resin bonded stone driveways should be swept or blown using a leaf blower 1 – 3 months after being laid to remove remaining loose stones.
